STUNT HQ GRADING pathway
candidate agreement

1. Overview

The Stunt HQ Career Pathway is a structured six (6) month professional development program designed to prepare candidates for progression towards Provisional Stunt Actor (SAP) grading within the Australian stunt industry.

The pathway provides candidates with access to structured training evolutions, professional coaching, physical conditioning, industry education and practical skill development aligned with the competencies required to support progression along the SAP grading pathway.

Completion of the Stunt HQ Career Pathway, participation in academy training, or endorsement by Stunt HQ does not guarantee successful attainment of SAP grading, certification, accreditation or future employment within the stunt industry. All grading decisions remain subject to the requirements and assessment processes of the relevant industry grading authority.

2. Commencement of the Career Pathway

A candidate's enrolment in the Stunt HQ Career Pathway commences on the agreed program start date or upon receipt of the first scheduled program payment, unless otherwise confirmed in writing by Stunt HQ.

Candidates who wish to participate in training prior to the commencement of their Career Pathway may attend Open Training Sessions (CasCan Program) by paying the applicable casual training fee, subject to availability.

3. Career Pathway Duration

The Stunt HQ Career Pathway is a structured six (6) month professional development program.

The pathway has been intentionally designed as a progressive curriculum, with each phase building upon the skills and knowledge developed in previous training evolutions. For this reason, candidates are expected to commit to the full six (6) month program. Withdrawal prior to completion is at the candidates own request. No guarantee they will be allowed to re-join.

Completion of the Career Pathway does not automatically extend a candidate's enrolment. Candidates wishing to continue their professional development may apply to progress into the next stage of the Stunt HQ Academy pathway, subject to eligibility and availability.

4. Program Investment

Program fees are payable in accordance with the selected payment schedule agreed upon at the time of enrolment.

Failure to make payments by the due date may result in a candidate's participation being suspended until all outstanding amounts have been paid.

Where permitted by law, Stunt HQ reserves the right to recover reasonable administrative costs associated with overdue accounts.

5. Missed Training Evolutions

The Career Pathway follows a structured and progressive curriculum. As each training evolution builds upon previous instruction, missed sessions are generally not refundable, transferable or credited.

Where practical, Stunt HQ may offer access to a scheduled Recovery Block or an alternative training evolution to assist candidates in maintaining their progression through the program. The availability of Recovery Blocks is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

6. Program Deferrals

As the Career Pathway is delivered as a structured cohort-based program, enrolments cannot ordinarily be paused or deferred.

Requests for a temporary deferral due to serious illness, injury, pregnancy or exceptional hardship may be considered upon receipt of appropriate supporting documentation.

Approval of any program deferral is granted solely at the discretion of Stunt HQ. Where approved, candidates may be offered the opportunity to rejoin a future intake at a stage determined by Stunt HQ, subject to availability and assessment of competency.

7. Participant Eligibility

Participants must be at least 16 years of age unless approved by Stunt HQ.

Participants under 18 years of age require written consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to undertake physically demanding stunt training.

8. Health and Safety

Stunt training involves inherent risks, including serious injury or death.

By participating, members acknowledge these risks and agree to:

  • Train safely and follow instructor directions at all times.

  • Notify instructors of any injury, illness or medical condition that may affect participation.

  • Complete all required waivers prior to commencing training.

Participants should seek medical advice before training if unsure of their physical suitability.

Participation in the Grading Membership does not guarantee:

  • successful completion of the Provisional Stunt Actor grading;

  • recommendation for grading;

  • acceptance by an industry grading panel;

  • employment as a stunt performer; or

  • work opportunities through Stunt HQ or its instructors.

Grading readiness is determined solely by the participant's demonstrated competence, professionalism, safety standards and consistency.

10. Behaviour and Code of Conduct

All members are expected to:

  • Prioritise safety.

  • Treat instructors and fellow members with respect.

  • Demonstrate professionalism and integrity.

Stunt HQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate any participant whose behaviour places themselves or others at risk.

No refunds will be provided where membership is terminated due to breaches of the Code of Conduct.

11. Photography and Social Media

Photography or video recording during training may only occur with prior approval from Stunt HQ.

Training material, drills and course content remain the intellectual property of Stunt HQ and may not be reproduced, distributed or published without written permission.

12. Changes to agreement

Stunt HQ reserves the right to make reasonable changes to:

  • training schedules;

  • inclusions.

Trainees will be provided with reasonable notice of significant changes wherever possible.

13. Privacy

Personal information collected during enrolment is used solely for administration, emergency contact, safety and communication purposes.

Stunt HQ will manage personal information in accordance with applicable Australian privacy legislation.

14. Limitation of Liability

Participation in stunt training is undertaken voluntarily.

Trainees acknowledge the inherent risks associated with stunt training and agree that, except where liability cannot legally be excluded, Stunt HQ, its directors, employees and instructors are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from participation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Acceptance

By enrolling in the Stunt HQ Career Pathway, candidates acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Candidates further acknowledge that the Career Pathway is a structured professional development program designed to support progression towards the Australian stunt industry grading pathway and does not guarantee the attainment of any grading, accreditation or future employment.
